Oceaneer Club and Oceaneer Lab Update
Update as of July 2024
A deposit will be placed on your shipboard account for the Oceaneer Band––a bracelet provided to children ages 10 and under that allows them access in and out of Disney’s Oceaneer Club and Disney’s Oceaneer Lab. The deposit amount varies by ship. Starting July 26, 2024, the Disney Wish deposit is $25; all other ships will remain at $12.95. You may choose to keep the Oceaneer Band as a memento—in which case your deposit will become a charge on your shipboard account. Otherwise, simply return your Oceaneer Band at the end of the voyage to have the deposit returned.
Kids with DisneyBand+ may use their wristband to access Youth Club areas in stead of the Oceaneer Band.

Do not worry about communication since your children will not have cell phones, you can discuss this with the Youth Activity Counselors when you bring your children to the Oceaneer Lab and based on my personal experience the counselors can and will send a message to your mobile device using the Navigator App or through the vessel’s Wave Phones (if still on the ship) which are located in the staterooms. To check the hours of operation and listed activities for the Youth Clubs, please refer to the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App – you are also able to explore the area as a family during an open house session, it’s a lot of fun, and you also have an opportunity to meet the Youth Activities Counselors.
Registration, Check-In Process and More
Pre-register your child for Disney's Oceaneer Lab or you can register once on board your ship.
Upon boarding the ship on Embarkation Day, both children and parents must check in at the front desk at Disney’s Oceaneer Club or Disney's Oceaneer Lab. During this time, parents will fill out final paperwork and children will receive a Disney Cruise Line Youth Activities wristband, which grants them access to both Disney’s Oceaneer Club and Disney’s Oceaneer Lab. Parents are also invited to tour the facility, meet the counselors and learn more about the many activities offered. Please note that children must be fully toilet trained to be admitted to either facility.
Children with Special Needs
Children with special needs are welcome at Disney’s Oceaneer Club. Our Youth Activity programs are available to children who are fully toilet trained, able to individually participate within our counselor-to-child ratio groups and interact socially and comfortably with peers of their own age and physical size. We are unable to provide one-on-one counselor care, a counselor with specialty training, or counselor-assisted medical attention. Additional participation guidelines and restrictions may apply and are established to provide a safe and secure youth entertainment environment. Open House hours are also available so the entire family can join the fun and participate together.
Learn More about Disney Cruise Line requirements for epinephrine injector medication at onboard youth clubs.
Youth Activities Open House
Our Open House is an opportunity for Guests of all ages to participate in a variety of exciting activities hosted at Disney’s Oceaneer Club and Disney’s Oceaneer Lab throughout the cruise. During these Open Houses, both facilities will still be available for those looking to check their children into care. Please check the Personal Navigator newsletter or Disney Cruise Line Navigator app while on board the ship for specific dates and times.
