Disney Cruise Line Luggage Tags Information

  • When will I receive my DCL luggage tags?

    • They will arrive in the mail along with your vacation details about a month before you sail. They will come with an overview of your sailing and each person will receive 2 luggage tags. We purchased from Amazon a clear holder for the DCL luggage tags and DO NOT put them on until on the way to the cruise ship.

  • What happens if I don’t receive my DCL tags or if I forget them at home?

    • Do not worry. DCL will have plenty of extras at the port or airport for you to fill out. Write your stateroom number and last name on each tag. I typically try to save my DCL luggage tags as a reminder of the cruise and use them as bookmarks sometimes.

    • Guarantee rooms might not get luggage tags in time therefore you have to get them at the port

  • Can I print DCL luggage tags?

    • No. These tags are not available online and there is no way to print them. Again, do not worry if you do not receive them DCL has lots for you.

  • How much luggage can you bring on the DCL?

    • Every guest will receive 2 luggage tags in the mail. For longer vacations you may be considering packing more, but just remember that these aren’t huge staterooms with tons of storage. We typically cap each person sailing with 2 luggage bags and a carryon if needed. There are laundry services on the ship if needed also.

  • What luggage do I need to carry onto my DCL?

    • There is no need to carry anything onto the ship unless you need something from the bags before your stateroom is ready (travel documents always keep with you). Staterooms are ready typically around 1:30 – 2:30 pm. Alcohol and beverages brought on the ship will need to be carried on but see the DCL policies on those. What I typically carry on includes my travel documents, camera, phone chargers, sunscreen, bathing suits, and medications.

  • How does my luggage get to my stateroom?

    • Once your DCL luggage tags are on the bags you want the porters to take, those bags will disappear and show up in your stateroom. Please remember to bring cash to tip the porters. These porters can be at the hotel, airports, or port terminal.

  • Will my luggage be ready for early dining times?

    • If the ship is full and you have a lot of luggage there might be a chance the luggage does not arrive in your room in time to get ready for dinner. In these situations, it might be best to carry an outfit in your carry-on bags. Sometimes the suitcases are not directly in front of your room, therefore look down and around the hallways.
